My You tube series :
In this series of lectures, we will discuss underlying physiological principles that cause hypoxemia. We will discuss clinical relevance of the physiology and understand how this translate to patient care.
Hyponatremia is possibly the intern/residents worst nightmare. I always found the algorithm in textbooks difficult to understand and retain. I have made a series of videos on hyponatremia which will take you to basic pathophysiology of hyponatremia and work it towards diagnosis and management. The lectures are short and contains various approaches to understand how it all boils down to food/water intake and urine volume/osmolality.
In this lecture series, we will discuss how to manage ventilators in VC/AC mode and understand all the concepts behind the parameters needed for successful mechanical ventilation. We will discuss both the clinical aspect and physiological principles so you can feel more comfortable with this mode.
In this video series, we discuss how CO2 moves around and what really causes hypercapnia. We will discuss principles of ventilation and build up a physiological approach to understanding and managing hypercapnia. Hopefully by the end of it, you should be able to understand nuances of hypercapnia management and take a better care of your patient.
